Training Schedule for MHFS 10k
Starting today, time to get serious about this 10km race.. 11 weeks to go and I’ve been doing adhoc training to build my distance up from 1km to the 7km I can now do.
Having never run a race before this cold be ambitious, but here it is:
First run, 5 miles, 1 mile warmup, 3mi @ 8.26 pace, 1 mile warmdown … can I manage that?
We’ll find out tonight. I ran 4.45miles at average pace of 8.54 min miles on Friday, so hopefully I can do a much slower warmup pace, then up the pace for the required 3 miles before dropping down again. I’m doing this after work tonight as I don’t have my running shoes with me today.
