New theme for runography
A new year, a new theme.
I spent some time looking at the site tonight and managed to pick out a new theme, Atahualpa . It seems to be very customizable and easy to use. I’ve been hacking around with it this evening and so far it’s been excellent. I installed a few more plugins to try and provide a better user experience; for example I installed the Sociable plugin, which allows users to bookmark links to this site on other sites, such as facebook. There were lots of options available for this, I’ve chosen a selection of sites. If you feel I should add others then let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
I also installed the Twitter Tools plugin, which allows you to see runography tweets on the website. This will be useful when I haven’t the time to put a full blog posting together. With this, you can follow runography on twitter for my latest ramblings.
Expect more changes over the coming months. Experimentation is key!
A slight aside… my running is full steam ahead. I managed 8.7 miles today, that takes me up to around 49 miles for January.
I should easily go over the 55 mile mark before the end of January, my highest for a long time.

Eoan – nice layout. 8.7 miles is good – need to get my long run sorted for a Friday. Done about 53 miles in Jan myself so far, my best for a long, long, LONG time! Next month is consolidation and then the month after will be about taking it up a notch.
53 miles, you’re putting in some serious work then! I’m aiming to do another 8 miler on Thursday, so that’ll put me above my 55 mile mark. Next month I think it’s closer to 100 miles though!
Doing about 20 miles a week – only 4/5 miles a day depending on how my legs feel…not too much. Taking it up the next notch will be the hardest – my aim is to be doing 6miles a day(3/4 days) and then one 10 miler. I am not aiming for any race or marathon, just personal satisfaction and being able to use my old (small) belt again
At 20 miles per week it won’t take long at all for the lbs to fall off. Is this in the gym or are you venturing outdoors?
not outdoors yet – waiting for the weather and my fitness to improve – once i can justify getting the gps watch yoke to monitor my distance (by staying at it for a few months) then I will be outdoors, though i might take the big run outdoors just for a change.
