MHFS Training – Various – Week 7 – Day 1-2-3 – Progress
Lack of updates does not mean lack of training. I’ll try and keep it brief as I’m quite busy at the moment.
Monday 13/05/08:

Warm; 4mi@8:20; Cool- Dylan’s Run ( brought his buddy Ryan with him )

Warm; 4mi@8:00; Cool- First 10k of this run – 51:24 ( a PB )
- 4mi@8:00 – ( another PB )
- Very hard run, 2.5 miles of the 4 miles tempo done into a strong headwind
- Lots of hills too, including a long steep hill near the end of Mile 3 of the tempo
- Dylan’s Run, Dist 0.55mi – time 6:32 – 6 seconds off his previous time

Weight: 12st 12lb – the scales did go to 12st 11lb but that was post-run on Monday when I was dehydrated.
Progress on all fronts. We have also finalised the relay team for the Edinburgh Marathon, so starting to gear up for that. We’ll be out tomorrow to do a marathon pace training run (8:25 min/mi). I only have to do it for 5 miles, but my training program says I should be doing an 8 mile long run, so if I still feel fit after it (doubtful) then I may do the extra few miles at my cooldown pace.
Gym today for a light weights session.
