MHFS 10k Training Week 1 Day 3
So after going out on Monday for my first session I’m on my 2nd of two rest days. I’ve not been having too many rest days since I started training, I’ve been to the gym or for a run most days.
Luckily it says:
Rest/XT: Take a rest day, or do moderate cross-training activity.
So yesterday, as I mentioned I played 5-a-sides, but this seems to have given me a slight twinge on my right knee which I thought I would shake off overnight. It has gotten better, but not quite perfect yet. I hope it gets better in time for tomorrows run which is my longest ever, a 6 mile session.
I hope I’ve not upped the distance too fast as my furthest distance until Friday was 4.45mi, so I’ve done a 5 mile and will be doing a 6 mile within a week. Not quite in keeping with a low percentage increase in miles, but it feels fine to do, so maybe it’s ok.
I can’t make the gym today as I decided to w@h due to the Cows on the Motorway from yesterday. Instead I’m going to take the rest day as it is and hope my knee heals in time for tomorrow.
Minimal Exercise:
- 60 x situps
- 15 x pressups
